THE STORY

For my graduate thesis I created khora, an interactive mobile touring application for museum-goers. Designed for the iPhone, the app uses augmented reality, QR codes, GPS, audio technology, and social networking–all things that require direct interaction within the museum environment.

One of the goals was to design an app that appeals to adults and youth, and also, serve as a useful addition to the museum experience, NOT a replacement.

THE PROCESS

I focused on a user-centered design approach which included: field studies; surveys; user interviews; and more. This helped to define the strategy, design and development of the application.
