THE STORY

Cycle30 is an award-winning telecom company that was working on their first release of an online billing application when I joined the team under id8. The challenge for this particular project was designing all facets of a next generation billing system that caters to the client-side as well as the customer-side.

THE PROCESS

Under the agile development approach, the design was rapidly evolving through each sprint. The process started with cross-team discussions on requirements, then led to cycles of whiteboarding sessions, prototyping and user testing. Prototypes were the center of discussions with teams and stakeholders.

THE OUTCOME

This project started with me being the sole designer, and later grew to me leading a small team of junior + senior level designers.

I created a design approach that cycle30 continued to build upon as the company matured. Also, by introducing ‘rapid prototyping’ to cycle30, I implemented a design model that was adopted throughout the organization up to their parent company.
